Strawberry Jelly

Isn't this beautiful?? So red...so shinny...BUT THIS IS NOT MINE....      :(

This is from Wendy's blog, a long, long time ago...

Mine...? Oh, ok...here goes the funny looking strawberry jelly I made (Last year or earlier this year, can't remember)

Don't ask me about the orange colour...it beats me, til now. I didn't put in enough sugar too (Didn't follow Wendy's recipe exactly) so it was sour when you eat the fruit.

So, as usual Little bear just ate the jelly part and spat out the fruits...   :(
I don't think I'm going to make this in near future, not until I can get nice, ripe, sweet strawberries.

You must use ripe ones, Cameron ones will be fine. Those from Tesco are good enough, sometimes I get mine from there, and please la, strain out the strawberries. You can keep them aside as jam, won't waste.

Anyway, thanks so much for the tips!

There's always a next time! Cheer up! Will the frozen one work better? Why not use some fresh juice mixed with the fruit?

You used strawberries and the jello turned orange? Hmmm...how did that happen? I mess up all the time whenever I try to make agar agar jello. The last one I made was so stiff that my brothers and sister still laugh about it today. They say if one of my jello squares hit someone's head, it would know them out :(

Angie:
Fresh juice? difficult to get here in Malaysia leh...maybe some kind of cordial, Usually they'r mixed with juice of other fruits...
I don't like to use colourings too, so---I'm not thinking of strawberry jellies in near future...

Rosebelle:
Yeah, funny to get orange colour right?
Actually I'm not good in the kitchen...but I believe that practice makes perfect, not matter how idiotic you are (I am!!) Just try a few more times and experiment with the amount of water used, sooner or later you are able to get the texture you like.

Swee San:
Yup, that's what wendy told me too...sigh! This jelly made me feel reluctant to try making this again... :(

Heeheehee...Wendy's jelly's really such an eye-catcher, right? So that ppl can see the differnce between the original and the failure...LOLZ...

You can't put it that way. We are learners. We need a role model to learn better! Hahaha..

Yeah! Yeah! Couldn't agree better... My hubby says that i'm quite a pessimist at times... :P

It's the first time I've seen orange strawberries. Practice makes perfect and I can so relate to this. I've had my share of flops!

Thanks! I'll certainly try this again...but not in near future,as my son doesn't seem to like the fruit. I hope I can be like you---cooking fantastic looking (and taste too!) stuffs everytime!

Haha! You also have lots of backlogs too!? I'm in Wendy's loop. =P

Aiya, no worries lar ... We take every attempt as a lesson learned, be it good or bad. I'm a sucker for grapefruit. If you let me have your jelly, I'll def gobble it up! But never had I thought that strawberries would yield orange color ... like what Swee San was wondering ... Odd ...

Hey, thank you for the words you left me! I meant to say hi to you ever since Wendy mentioned about you to me. Haha! But I'm too busy lar ... Haiz ... Let's hope to meet up, maybe during Raya weekend. I'll discuss with the two ladies. K?

Have a lovely week ahead! =)
