A Trip to Singapore

(Sigh...! I know this is so,so, so late... but---okay lah...better be late than never. At least in future my kids would know that I recorded all these for them...)
We went to S'pore for 8 days(4-11 Sept 2010), plus all the travelling to and back. We went to Universal Studio in Sentosa, watched Voyage de la Vie, met up with my sisters, shopping (needless to say...) and lazed around my BIL's new home most of the time...

We did not go to the Zoo as we thought we would, the rain is one of the reasons...no special offer for the tickets is another.  But overall we did enjoyed our stay there, thanks to JS and A for being such lovely hosts. I felt so sorry when Little Bear fought with his cousin, G especially...Luckily everybody understood the "Kids are like that" fact.

(Ok, ok...enough said...actually I'm lazy to explain more...here are some pics to show...)

The kids in the stroller rented for $15 at Universal Studio.
Little Bear with Cousin M, munching away.

Trying to make Little Bear stand still in front of Shrek's castle for a photo.   :(

Little Bear having fun with Cousins M, G and L at the splash park of IMM.

 Even Baby Bear had fun.
Uncle JS and Aunt A bought a cake (and a present too!) for Little Bear to celebrate his birthday earlier.

Love,
We makan-makan at a sort of fast-food place called "Goldilocks". Nothing very special...just fries, burgers and chicken. It's a great place for hols esp for the kids. But the tickets are sure expensive due to te exchange rates.

Aunty Wendy,
Thanks, same to you too...since we share the same birthday.
Ee Sync

Wow, thanks for showing me what Universal studio looks like - It looks almost like Disneyland.... I should try to find a chance to explore the place!

As for the drumlets, I bought whole chicken wings from tesco and chopped them in the mid. Separated the wings n drumlet. ;)

I didn't know that there was a Universal park in Singapore! You guys looked like you had so much fun. Is it that hot at night? Your boys playing with water at night. It's never that hot in San Francisco to be playing with water at night. We usually have cold and foggy weather.

Hi Mel. So lucky to be able flee off for holidays. For me, work, work, work then kitchen, kitchen, kitchen apart from kids & the father.... hope not going crazy...hehe

Your kids are adorable, so cute! Looks like you all had a great time! One happy family!!!

Glad to know that your trip down in SG was a pleasant one. Now that I know why Wendy told me it's rather hard to handle your boys. LOL! Well, we can work things out when we arrange for a meetup!

Actually hor, though I haven't been to the Universal Studios in SG, I don't think I'd go there. I heard others told me it's relatively smaller in scale ... especially for those who have been to Disney World, Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland. Just hearsay and my two cents. Not sure. But since my trip in SG is always a brief one, I wouldn't have the time to visit the theme park. Bummer!

Hey, nice to see your family! Hope we can meet up. We shall see, now that we don't know of when will Wendy be down in KL again ...

Shirley,
It's a fun place to visit with kids, without the kids then it would be just snapping photos and watching the 4D movies (my personal opinion) coz I'm not so much of a roller coaster/excitment kind of person.
Bring your kids there la! Even your baby will be thrilled!!

Love,
Oh, thanks! No wonder so many drummets you can get la!

Rosebelle,
The Universal Studio's just openned in S'pore but I heard from my BIL who's been to Disneyland in US that it's smaller comparatively.
Over here in Malaysia/Singapore it gets dark rather late--say about 7pm. So playing water at 8.30pm is quite OK...plus that night was quite a warm night, I guess that the temp.is around 25-28'C. However, we didn't let them play for too long, maybe about 1 hr. My baby played for a mere 10 mins. I feel it's ok once in a while for the kids to have fun. :)

HomeKreation,
Hey,it's alright if you enjoyed it! When you go for your vacation, mainlah kaw-kaw!!

Pam,
Thanks! The kids did had a great time there! Yours looks very blissful too! With the new baby coming along, that's double bliss!

Pei-Lin,
Ya lor, it's quite small, but for my toddlers, it's just right la...coz they still can't go on most of the rides. Ee Sync just simply enjoyed the Madagascar Carousel. He wanted to ride over and over again...but if you have seen the long queue...sigh...
and he made a scene at the "flying dinosaurs"...wanted to go in again though the exit..*faint*

Anyway, my BIL says that the UStudio was sort of a replica of the one in California...a lot of the stuff are exactly the same. So you see, it's for ppl like me who have yet to visit US la...and the kids of course, nice place for an outing!

I've not been to Universal Studio Sgp since I've already visited the one in California. I reckon they are very much the same and what's more, the entrance fee is so expensive :P Strange thing though, when we travel overseas, whatever exorbitant price we will still pay but when it's in our own hometown, we won't, cheapo me lah :P

Meldylocks and Her Three Bears said...

Blessed homemaker,
Quite true...my hubby always has that kind of attitude when we are out on holidays: "Nvm lah, this is only once in a while, not everyday."
Actually we got the tickets 50% cheaper coz it so happens my bro had a few discount coupons. We gave the Zoo a miss too this time coz no discounts this time. =D

Blessed Homemaker said...

We only visit the Zoo when we get corporate card from our company, it's free admission for 4 pax. But now, we have joined the Zoo as members (1 year membership), unlimited entry for a year :)

Meldylocks and Her Three Bears said...

Blessed Homemaker,
Oh,they are using the "membership-thingy" too? But we'r not going there often wo...for you it should be worth applying.
Hmm, I hope they are give the 50% offer to malaysians again... :P

Blessed Homemaker said...

Do they have 50% off for Malaysians? I do see quite a bit of Malaysian cars at the car park though, was thinking after conversion, it's very expensive to visit Sgp Zoo. Oh my, these Msians must be rich man :P

Meldylocks and Her Three Bears said...

Blessed Homemaker,
They gave that offer twice, if I've not mistaken... last yr and also the yr before. I think it was in the month of September, trying to encourage more malaysian to visit S'pore. It was advertised all over the the media here. We just have to show our passport and we can pay with RM or 50% off the SGD.
